After ‘discovering’ your website, I brought my husband to Cork (and Cafe Paridiso) for his 40th birthday celebration, Aug ‘06. We were certainly not disappointed and your restaurant lived up to our high expectations. Gourmet heaven!!!

I spent some days in Cork last autumn and found your book in a local bookshop. Seeing that you were from Cork, I decided to dine at the Café Paradiso. It was like in paradise – I was overwhelmed by the fine vegetarian food which tasted unbelievably good. Since returning home I have been cooking your recipes which reminds me of my visit to your restaurant. Thank you so very much.

I recently purchased your cookbook “Cafe Paradiso Seasons” at a bookstore in New Hampshire, USA. My husband and I both love to cook and we both agree that the recipes represent the finest food we’ve ever created. My little health food store is now keeping me stocked in haloummi (they had never heard of it!). Perhaps someday if I make it across the Atlantic, I will drop in and dine with you. Tuesday 16 January, 2007We’ve stayed in Cafe Paradiso twice in the last year or so, the first time my boyfriend proposed to me in one of the rooms and the second time was part of our honeymoon! I LOVE Cafe Paradiso, and not just for the food. Bridget was the perfect, perfect hostess, looking after us when our car got locked in the car park across the way and celebrating our engagement with us. We actually nearly cried when we saw the breakfast menu, it was so nice to be able to choose from everything on the menu. Of course we will be back! Ruth and James
