Flood Damage Update · 23 November 2009

Thanks to everyone who has posted a comment, emailed, telephoned or simply walked in to see the mess for themselves. The support and goodwill is very heartening as we try to keep our spirits up for the challenge ahead. It’s still too early to put a schedule on it, especially as we have a final insurance inspection tomorrow, Tuesday, but it looks unlikely we’ll be open this week or next.

Check back here for another update on Wednesday, when we should have the bones of a plan. Meanwhile, here are two more photos. The second is my favourite, with the pumpkins floating by the table.

Just got the news from our friend in Cork! Unbelievable! Hope Paradiso is up and running sooner than later. Your food is SO good that I would not hesitate to wear my wellies to supper!

Dang… I was planning to travel to Cork next week. But as Andrew says above, have wellies will travel. If you’re open, I’ll be there. Good luck and I hope the rain abates….
